Selecting the right car insurance coverage may not be easy if you do not know what are the types of coverage available.
When you get a quote online you will be offered coverage packages for that suits your needs. Heres what you need to know before buying car insurance policy:
You can begin with the minimum liability. In Utah, the minimum state required insurance is:
- $25,000 per person for bodily injury, $50,000 per accident
- $15,000 per accident for property.
- Personal Injury Protection: $3,000 Limit
This is often referred to as 25/50/15 limits.
There are also some optional coverage such as physical damage of collision and comprehensive coverage. Collision coverage provides protection in case of an accident. It pays damage to your car regardless whos at fault. Comprehensive coverage cover your car if it gets stolen, damaged by fire, flood etc. If you have an older car, you can go with just the minimum liability insurance.
